Hamburg, 29. August 2025 – Impossible Cloud, one of Europe’s leading cloud solution providers, is expanding its infrastructure with two new European regions: the United Kingdom and Northern Europe. This move is part of the company’s strategic growth to meet the rising demand for a scalable, compliance-ready, and enterprise-grade alternative to US hyperscalers within European borders.
With the launch of data center regions in Denmark and the United Kingdom, Impossible Cloud increases its geographic coverage to five active regions in Europe – which already includes DACH, Southern & Eastern Europe, and Benelux & France. Customers gain new options for data localization, as well as location-specific geofencing, ensuring that data is stored and processed exclusively within the selected national or regional boundaries, if desired.
“Our European expansion is a direct response to the growing demand from enterprises for sovereign cloud infrastructure – especially in the enterprise segment,” said Christian Kaul, Co-Founder and COO of Impossible Cloud. “We offer a high-performance alternative to the established hyperscalers that not only delivers technologically, but also meets the regulatory and strategic requirements of European businesses.”
With the addition of new data center regions, Impossible Cloud is further embedding its storage infrastructure into the European data space. This enables organizations to store mission-critical data exactly where it needs to be from a legal, strategic, or industry-specific perspective – for example, close to production sites, financial hubs, or research facilities. The S3-compatible object storage ensures that this data is always managed in compliance with the GDPR, meets NIS-2 and AI Act requirements, and can be flexibly integrated into existing IT architectures without vendor lock-in. This technical expansion thus becomes a direct enabler for regulatory security, operational resilience, and digital sovereignty.
In parallel with its technical expansion, Impossible Cloud is entering strategic distribution partnerships in both regions to address new customer segments on the ground.
"We’re excited that Impossible Cloud expands into Northern Europe and brings geofencing to Denmark,” said Jacob Schaumann Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Cloud Factory, a strategic distribution partner of Impossible Cloud in Northern Europe. “This marks an important step in delivering even more security, performance, and compliance to our partners."
Impossible Cloud is also adding its first-ever distribution partner in the United Kingdom, Northamber PLC, a value‑added technology distributor with over 45 years experience, operating across the UK and Ireland.
“We’re delighted to add Impossible Cloud to Northamber’s growing infrastructure solutions portfolio,” said Grant Reddin, Director of Cyber and Solutions at Northamber PLC. “Impossible Cloud fills a vital gap in our portfolio, giving customers high-performance infrastructure with the compliance, security, and control they demand. In an industry that is evolving faster than ever, this partnership reinforces our commitment to moving forward with cutting-edge, future-proof solutions that keep our partners ahead of the curve."
The local sales teams in the UK and Scandinavia are also being expanded to meet the increasing demand from industries such as financial services, logistics, automotive, and healthcare.
